Where exactly is the Fremont Festival of the Arts located?

  • The Festival takes place on closed sections of the following streets in in downtown Fremont: Paseo Padre Pkwy, Walnut Ave and Liberty Street.

When do you close down the streets for the Festival of the Arts?

  • We will begin closing down the streets starting at 2PM on Friday, August 4th and will reopen them on Monday, August 7th at 12 Midnight.

Where is the entrance to the Fremont Festival of the Arts?

There are several entrances to the Festival:

  • At the intersection of Liberty Street and Beacon Ave

  • At the intersection of Liberty Street and Sundale Dr

  • At the intersection of Paseo Padre Pkwy and Capitol Ave

  • At the intersection of Paseo Padre Pkwy and Kearney St

  • On Walnut Ave near Paseo Padre Pkwy

  • On Walnut near Fremont Blvd

Can I walk from the Bart Station to the Fremont Festival of the Arts?

Yes! There are several lots available for Festival attendees:

  • Pay Lots

    • Washington West

    • Fremont Officer Center

  • Street Parking

    • Sundale Ave east from Fremont to Liberty

    • State south from Mowry to Beacon

    • Mowry east of State before Hastings, down Mt Vernon

    • Parkside north of Mowry, down Mowry to Stivers, north of Mowry

    • Beacon Ave east from Fremont to Liberty

    • Kearney St east from Liberty to Paseo Padre

    • Liberty St north from Beacon to Capital

I’m planning on getting dropped off by an Lyft/Uber/Taxi, where should I tell them to take me?

  • We have a designed “Drop Off/Pick Up” point to help control traffic. Please tell your driver to drop you off near the intersection of Beacon Ave and Liberty Street. Check out our map in the About section.

I’m coming from out of town for the Fremont Festival of the Arts and need a hotel room, where should I stay?

What happens if it rains the weekend of the Fremont Festival of the Arts?

  • Who doesn’t love playing in the rain? We sure do, so we’ll be there rain or shine and think you should be too!

Is the Fremont Festival of the Arts family-friendly?

  • Absolutely! We have an entire section of the Festival dedicated to just kids! So bring the whole family and make sure to check out Kid City!

I don’t drink wine, will there be other drinks available at the Fremont Festival of the Arts?

  • We’ve got you covered, whether it’s alcoholic or not, there will be plenty of options for you at the Festival.

When do you start and stop serving alcohol at the Fremont Festival of the Arts?

  • We start selling as soon as we open and we stop selling tickets for all alcoholic beverages is at 5PM. Our last pour is at 5:30PM, so don’t be late!

I really like to drink, what if I drink too much and can’t drive home?

  • Don’t worry! We know you’re there to have a good time and want that to be your top priority. But remember, safety first! If you get a little too tipsy and need a ride home come to the Information Desk and someone will help you call a Lyft, Uber or Taxi and take you over to the designated “Drop Off/Pick Up” point.

I’m a vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free, will there be food options available for me at the Fremont Festival of the Arts?

  • We make sure to have a variety of food options for all dietary needs. If you’re hungry, we’ll have something delicious for you to try!

Should I bring cash to the Fremont Festival of the Arts?

  • Most vendors will accept credit cards, but not all of them. We recommend you bring a little cash or your debit card, there are several ATMs located near the Festival for your convenience.

Will there be restrooms at the Fremont Festival of the Arts?

  • Of course, we know what happens when you drink wine! There will be several portable restroom areas and hand washing stations throughout the Fest.

Will there be security at the Fremont Festival of the Arts?

  • Yes. We partner with the Fremont Police Department to ensure that everyone is safe and sound!

Do you recycle at the Fremont Festival of the Arts?

  • We go to special lengths to be environmentally friendly at the Festival. We provide three types of waste disposal bins: organic waste, recyclables, and plain-old-trash. Collection centers will be located throughout the Festival.

What if I have questions AT the Fremont Festival of the Arts?

  • We’re there for you, come see us! If you have any questions or concerns the day of the Festival, we will have an information booth set up at the base of the Festival Tower located at the intersection of Walnut Ave and Paseo Padre Parkway. Stop by and ask away or even just come say hi!

Will there be a Free Speech Zone at the Festival?

  • Absolutely, in fact, we’ll have 3! Anyone is welcome to come participate in this area, but please be aware that canopy coverage has already been provided. No outside tents or umbrellas are allowed. And remember: this is a community space, you MUST share the space with all participants!

I have a disability. Is the Fremont Festival of the Arts ADA Accessible?

  • Absolutely. We strive to make sure that everyone can enjoy the Fremont Festival of the Arts. We offer ADA Accessible porta potties at each restroom location, we go to extra measures to ensure that as many sidewalk ramps as possible are open and not blocked by tents or vendors, we welcome service dogs, and we offer ADA Accessible parking in the City Hall Parking Lot (3300 Capitol Ave). You can access the lot via Hastings Street.
